He highlighted the Government’s vision and plan to reconstruct the State of Telangana, which faced criticism and doubts from political rivals.
The Chief Minister further said that despite hurdles created by some political “Lilliputs,” the Government did not take a step back and moved forward with the construction of the new Secretariat building, which is now one of the most wonderful government structures in the country.
The Chief Minister stated that Telangana has become a role model and guiding force for the country in the welfare and development sectors, and the giant statue of Dr BR Ambedkar adjacent to the State Secretariat will always inspire State Government officials to fulfil the aspirations of the people.
He also praised the State’s development, calling it the “reconstruction of Telangana.” He said that all the water bodies have been revived, and ponds are brimming with water even during peak summer.
He also mentioned the construction of the world’s largest Kaleshwaram lift irrigation scheme, which has helped to provide irrigation facilities in barren lands.
KCR, as he is popularly known, also pointed out that the State has addressed the crisis of fluorosis permanently, and potable drinking water is provided to every household through Mission Bhagiratha. The per capita income of Telangana is the highest among all states in India, and per capita power consumption is also high, indicating good economic development, he said.
KCR thanked the contract agency, R&B minister, and engineering staff for completing the new secretariat building fast, and expressed his gratitude to all the workers from other states for their contribution in the secretariat construction.
