JAMMU, Feb 25: KD Singh, ex-provincial secretary, National Conference (NC) and senior vice-president of DSSP along with more than 300 supporters and Nanak Chand, senior leader PDP along with more than 100 supporters, joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at party Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
Ravinder Raina, president, J&K BJP, Ashok Koul, general secretary (Organization), J&K BJP, Shamsher Singh Manhas, former MP, and DDC Chairperson, Bharat Bhushan, accompanied by Joining Committee In charge, Balwant Mankotia, Prabhari, Sanjay Baru, Omi Khajuria, Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, Neha Mahajan, Lucky Puri, Sukhdev Singh, Rakesh Raina, Harjit Singh, Ajay Choudhary and other leaders of party welcomed the new entrants into the party fold.
Ravinder Raina, welcoming the new entrants, congratulated them for their decision to serve the society and the nation as a dedicated member of the nationalist party. He praised the new entrants for their wealth of experience and dedication followed in their respective regions. He said that KD Singh and Nanak Chand, both are highly popular within their specific realms and their social and political rendezvous will aid the local development and help the people with their day-to-day issues of all types.
“By fulfilling promises and commitments, the Modi Government has not only gained the faith of people but also resurrected the faith of people in political system of India. This faith also means the emergence of political interest in society, which is good signal for the future”, Raina said.
Ashok Koul emphasized that in Jammu Kashmir, the welfare of all sections of society on the lines of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas Sabka Prayas” is the agenda of PM Modi without any discrimination on the basis of caste, colour, religion, gender or party affiliation.
Shamsher Singh Manhas said that the BJP is growing stronger with each passing day as people from all walks of life are reposing faith in Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s programmes and policies of making India Viksit Bharat by 2047.
KD Singh was accompanied by Brigadier (retd) Vijay Sagar Dewan, Brigadier (retd) Sambyal, Col. (retd) Sanjeevan Singh Guleria, Major (retd) Kamal Singh, Captain (retd) Rajeshwar Singh, Captain (retd) Kamal Lal, Captain (retd) Kuldeep Singh and many other prominent persons including ex Sarpanches and Panchs.
Nanak Chand was accompanied by former Naib Sarpanch Ram Parsad, Onkar Syal (Congress) Joginderpal, Mela Ram, Amit Kumar. Anuj Kumar, Suresh Kumar, Naib/Subedar (retd), Suresh Kumar Ji, Naib Subedar (retd) Satnam Ji besides dozens of Sarpanchs, Panchs and youth.
