JAMMU, Nov 21: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, today headed a meeting of the officers from various departments to check on security around Maulana Azad (MA) Stadium and routes used by the players to reach the venue (MA Stadium) where some matches of the Legends League Cricket tournament are being held.
A statement said that the officers present in the meeting briefed the IGP Jammu on plans to improve security and order in Jammu.
The IGP Jammu insisted on making sure everything is secure – traffic, transportation, where players stay – and that there’s first aid for cricket players and their teams.
He asked the police and other agencies’ officers to ensure that things remain safe and orderly during the cricket event.
The SSP Jammu was told to help traffic police in areas where traffic jams happen, so players aren’t bothered. They talked about keeping players safe while they stay in Jammu city.
People at the meeting included DIG Traffic Jammu, DIG IRP/AP Jammu, SSP Jammu, SSP Security, SSP Traffic, SSP PCR Jammu, SSP APCR Jammu, and SSP Railways.
It’s important to know that Legends League Cricket will have four matches at Maulana Azad Stadium, starting on November 27th, then on November 29th, 30th, and December 1st, 2023.
