Kejriwal’s visit postponed

JAMMU, Oct 10: Visit of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief, Arvind Kejriwal to the mountainous Doda district has been postponed for Monday.
Kejriwal was scheduled to visit Doda today to address a public rally after victory of the Party candidate, Mehraj Malik from Doda Assembly constituency and the event was to thank the voters and to celebrate the maiden victory of AAP in J&K.
Party sources informed that the visit has been postponed for Monday as J&K was under Model Code of Conduct till today.
With victory of Malik, J&K has become the 5th UT where AAP has elected public representatives.
Malik had defeated BJP candidate, Gajay Singh Rana with a margin of 4538 votes, scoring 23228 votes as the results were announced on October 8.
