Students in a school in Kerala’s Trivandrum raised ₹4.5 lakh to help build a house for another student, who had recently lost her father. Over 12,000 students worked by collecting old newspapers and magazines and selling them, making garlands from fresh flowers, and making soaps and lotions to sell in the school. The money was raised in one-and-a-half years.
