Keshav discusses crime prevention, drug menace with SSP Jammu

JAMMU, Apr 3: Prominent social activist and Chairman of the Samvedna Society, Keshav Chopra, met with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Joginder Singh, to discuss various issues related to crime prevention, drug abuse and public safety in the region.
During the meeting, Keshav Chopra credited Jammu Police under the leadership of SSP Joginder Singh, particularly for tackling the drug menace and apprehending notorious criminals. He lauded the police for their swift action in solving cases and maintaining law and order. He specifically highlighted the successful resolution of the Greater Kailash robbery case, terming it a commendable achievement.
Chopra further stated that the people of Jammu are fortunate to have a dedicated police force working under an honest and humble officer. He expressed his appreciation for the people-friendly approach of the police and their commitment to public safety. Emphasizing the role of civil society in assisting law enforcement, he reiterated that the Samvedna Society is always ready to collaborate with the J&K Police in their efforts to keep the region crime-free and curb drug abuse.
SSP Jammu assured that the police force remains available 24/7 to serve the people and is working tirelessly to combat crime and eradicate drug-related activities. He stated that Jammu Police has been actively organizing awareness campaigns and outreach programs to educate the youth about the dangers of drug abuse. He also acknowledged the crucial role played by NGOs like the Samvedna Society in creating awareness and providing essential support to the community.
The meeting highlighted the need for continued collaboration between law enforcement agencies and civil society to ensure a safer and drug-free Jammu.
