Kesri demands compensation for damaged crops

ARNIA, Feb 4: Shiv Sena Hindustan J&K president, Rajesh Kesri has demanded compensation to the farmers whose crops were damaged in recent rainfall at border areas of Jammu district.
In a press conference here today Kesri said that untimely rainfall are increasingly battering farming communities wherein the small and marginal landholders are suffering the most.
He said that there is a need of strong policy decision on climate financing and insurance schemes to help farmers.
Kesri also demanded de-silting of Ranbir and all other canals in Jammu, job quota for children of farmers in Departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry etc.
Balveer Kumar, Balwant Saini, Vijay Luthra, Suresh Kumar, Ghara Ram, Vishwanath, Raj Kumar, Sanjeev Sharma, Desraj, Rakesh Kumar, Dheeraj Kumar, Darshana Devi, Rajni Devi, Neeru Devi and others were also present on the occasion.
