UDHAMPUR, Sept 29: Independent candidate from Udhampur East constituency, Pawan Khajuria today said that he will be always at the beck and call of the people of his constituency like a Sevak and will strive hard to solve public issues by making Udhampur East a model constituency of J&K.
Addressing a mammoth election rally at Modi Ground here, Khajuria in an emotionally choked voice said “The party which he served his entire life from his student days betrayed him but I am hopeful that my people will not let me down and they will stand with me every thick and thin”.
Khajuria said this huge gathering of thousands of people of Uhdampur indicates that people are with him to fight the injustice meted out to his constituency by casting their votes enmass on his election symbol Sewing machine on October 1 elections.
Khajuria assured that he will take all steps to make the constituency one of the model constituencies in the UT of J&K by taking keen interest in its development, industrialisation, providing clean drinking water and round the clock electricity, filling up of all vacant posts in hospitals, dispensaries and schools.
He said every effort will be made to give boost to the industry in the area by establishing new industrial units to create job avenues for the unemployed youth of the area.
Khajuria said the huge gathering of the people is an indication that people of the constituency have given a clear signal to his opponents that this time it is turn of Khajuria and no one else to represent Udhampur East constituency except him. He also complimented the people for showering their love and affection on him.
The people greeted him by raising slogans in his favour and showering flowers on him. Terming him voice of the constituency they assured him full support.
