Jammu, Apr 4: Jammu East MLA & BJP National Executive Member Ashok Khajuria, alongwith District President Rajesh Gupta, inaugurated the recently completed work of upgradation of lane by way of Damroo tiles in Chowgan Slathia area of Jammu East Assembly Constituency in presence of senior officials, prominent citizens and party activists.
Ashok Khajuria while speaking to the gathering said that an amount of Rs 3.5 lakh has been spent on this work and announced to make available Rs 3 lakh more for undertaking other related works in the area. He said that the Jammu East Assembly constituency is very thickly populated and being the most old area it needs more funds for upgradation of old lanes, drains, electric poles, street lights etc. besides taking up new works He said that within limited funds available with him as MLA, every effort has been made that these are used judiciously and quality work is ensured for the benefit of the people.
