Khanna, Jugal, Shamsher call on Nirmala Sitharaman

JAMMU, July 19: Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament from Jammu -Poonch Lok Sabha Constituency along with Avinash Rai Khanna, national vice president BJP and its Prabhari for J&K and Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha,  Shamsher Singh Manhas called on Union Defense Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman at New Delhi today and discussed various issues regarding development of Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constitu-ency with her.
Avinash Rai Khanna and both the MP’s appreciated the act of Union Defense Minister, and complimented her for visiting Martyr Aurangzeb’s Home in Poonch who was killed by militants and consoling his family members.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, informed the Minister that the land acquired by the army in various parts of Jammu province is on rental basis and the owners of the land are not getting their due payments in time. The land is the only source of their income even they have to wait for years and years to get their payments causing many problems to them.
He demanded that the rent should be paid in time so that they can lead their life easily. Jugal Kishore discussed various development issues with the Union Defense Minister regarding the construction of roads in Jammu Parliamentary Constituency.  He also complimented the Minister for taking up pending projects and urged her to introduce the new upcoming demands for construction of roads & other development works in border areas. Jugal said that necessary directions should be provided so that work on the slow processing projects is expedited and completed soon.
Shamsher Singh Manhas and Avinash Rai Khanna discussed the issues pertaining to the security  and  prevailing situations in Jammu and Kashmir with the Union Minister.
Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman assured that their demands would be readdressed soon as these are genuine and works would be expedited on priority.
