Khatana visits world’s largest Tribal residential school in Odisha

BHUBNESWAR, Mar 20: Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Ghulam Ali Khatana visited world’s largest Tribal residential school in Odisha where 40,000 poor children get free education right from Kinder Garten to Post Graduation.
Khatana had got an invitation to visit the school which so far has been visited by top personalities of the world like Bill Clinton, former US President, Union Home Minister, President of India, Vice President of India, PM Modi and others.
During the visit Khatana met students of the Tribal School ‘Kalinga School of Social Sciences’ and interacted with them and the staff and management of the school.
Advisor of the School Puneet Pradhan informed Khatana that about 70 percent students in the school are girls who are in line with the motto of PM Modi for ‘Beti Padhao Beti Bachao’.
It was a two days visit of Khatana and he complimented PM Modi for excellent schemes for the girl child in the country.
The MP Rajya Sabha also visited different sections of the school and appreciated the facilities for the students which are best in the world.
He said that such a facility is also needed in J&K.
The school has free facilities including boarding and lodging etc and priority in admission remains for orphans, poor class students and other similar cases.
Founder of the school MP Dr. A. Samvat accorded a warm welcome to the MP Khatana.
Khatana expressed gratitude to the Kalinga School of Social Sciences for the heart touching welcome and making him aware about such a brilliant facility in our country.
