KHC, JTC for settlement of displaced Pandits in twin city

JAMMU, Nov 30: Kashmiri Hindu Conference (KHC) in its executive meeting here today held under the chairmanship of M L Thusoo has urged the Government to substitute the word twin city to clusters at district headquarters in the approved memo for rehabilitation of displaced Pandits in Valley.
In a statement issued to press Mr Thusoo appreciated single amendment in draft resolution and incorporation of word no displacement of local people instead of minimum displacement. He said a community who has enmass suffered displacement for 25 long years will not tolerate and like displacement of even a single family. But he stressed on rehabilitation of the community in a twin city.
P L Kaul Badgami convener elaborated the limitations of clusters rehabilitation which will totally deprive the community of its political rights. Previously also the delimitations marginalized their political reach to even a single seat in the Assembly.
Meanwhile Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front president Shadi Lal Pandita has also demanded amendment in the draft memo by replacing the word clusters to twin city.
