JAMMU, Feb 21: Chairman Kashmiri Hindu Conference (KHC) advocate M L Thusoo and its convener, P L Koul Budgami have expressed grave concern over the situation in Kashmir and increasing militancy related incidents there.
In a joint statement the two KHC leaders said the prevailing conditions in Valley have put the process of rehabilitation on back burner. The recent developments in district Pulwama at Kakpora and Pampore indicate that terrorists still rule the roost in Valley and they are hell bent to create law and order situation there.
The meeting said that this has proved that KPs return to the Valley is not in tune with the conditions and thus unacceptable to the internally displaced community.
It said that the proposal of the community for its rehabilitation at one concentrated place i.e smart city or satellite township is the only solution for the rehabilitation of the displaced community which has been accepted by and large by the internally displaced community.
The leaders of the Conference have impressed upon the State and Central governments to initiate process in this behalf without wasting any further valuable time.
