UDHAMPUR, Aug 10: On the recommendations of Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Khilaf -Warzi Inspector Gourav Saini, presently posted in the office of Chief Executive Officer, Municipal Council Udhampur, has been placed under suspension.
Action has been taken on the basis of report of the Inquiry Committee , which was constituted to inquire into the landslide incident that occurred on 18th of July 2023 at an under construction building in Ward number – 21, Kaller Himiti, Udhampur, in which two labourers had died on the spot while six others were seriously injured.
“In terms of rule 31(1) of J&K Civil Services, Classification, Control and appeal Rules, 1956, Gourav Saini is placed under suspension with immediate effect till pending enquiry into the matter,” reads the order in this regard.
