JAMMU, June 28: National Conference (NC) MLA, Sajad Ahmed Kichloo today urged the Government to ensure early completion of work on Batote-Kishtwar and Kishtwar-Anantnag roads.
He said the Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road is one of the major projects in the district and once completed, the road will not only connect the district with the Valley but will also provide an alternative Highway to the State.
The road will also open new avenues of economy and development for the district, he added.
He also drew the attention of the Chief Minister towards the deplorable road condition of Batote-Kishtwar Highway, especially from Doda to Kishtwar.
The MLA said that the Highway being accident-prone is posing serious threat to the lives of common masses as the work on more than 40 kilometre of stretch has been left incomplete for over a year.
He urged the State Government to take up the matter with BRO so that the work is completed on this stretch at the earliest.
