Kichloo inaugurates JK Cements Plant at Samba

SAMBA, Oct 19: Minister of State for Industries and Commerce Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today commissioned newly constructed 300 TPD Cement grinding cum packaging plant of Jammu and Kashmir Cements Ltd (JKCL) here at Industrial Growth Centre Phase II in district Samba.
The plant has been completed at a cost of Rs. 27 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that with the commissioning of this plant, the youth from the local area as well as other parts of the State would get job opportunity. He said that during the last five and half year massive development has been registered in every sector with special focus on to create employment opportunities. He said that a number of schemes have been launched to provide loans to unemployed youth of the State to enable them to set up own units. The Minister also congratulated the JKCL for the commissioning of the cement plant and assured the employees of the PSU to provide 10% DA after the production was started.
MD JK Cement Ltd, Rakesh Sharma, while speaking on the occasion informed that this plant would meet the requirement of government departments as well as private market in Jammu province.
Among others, District Development Commissioner Samba Mubarak Singh, SSP Samba Anil Magotra, ADC Inderjeet, MD SIDCO J. S. Dua, GM DIC Satish Sharma, staff of the JKCL Ltd besides district officers were present on the occasion.
