Kichloo interacts with Kishtwar Police, civil society

KISHTWAR, Jan 25: Minister of State for Home, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo today interacted with senior officers of District Police and prominent citizens of Kishtwar.
Besides, SSP Kishtwar, Bhimsen Tuti, ASP, Kulbir Singh, DySP Farooq Qaiser, all prominent citizens of district Kishtwar attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister urged the officers to adopt more people-friendly approach so that the genuine complaints and demands are addressed and met in a time-bound manner. “Police-Public interface is vital to a healthy social relationship which will evolve a sense of security amongst the general masses,” the Minister emphasized.
Urging the police and civil society to maintain close liaison, the Minister issued instructions for establishing a “Feedback Control Room” that exclusively caters to the requirements of the people living in inaccessible and far-flung areas of the district like Dacchan, Marwah and Paddar. The Control Room will be jointly controlled by senior police and civil administration officers. “My office at Jammu will maintain close contact with the control room and ensure that real-time results are achieved that benefit the people at large,” he added.
SP Kishtwar assured the Minister that Police Administration will work tirelessly for the welfare of the people and maintain close relationship with the civil society. He informed the Minister that several measures have already taken for effective policing in the district.
Later, the Minister took round of the city on foot and inspected the District Hospital. He also identified the spot for construction of Overhead Water Tank at Hidyal Chowk.
