Kichloo takes oath, re-inducted into Omar’s cabinet

JAMMU: Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo was today re-inducted into Omar Abdullah’s cabinet after being sworn-in at Raj Bhawan here.
Mr Kichloo took oath in the presence of Governor N N Vohra, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, other ministers and dignitaries.
Mr Kichloo was exonerated after an interim report submitted yesterday by the Justice (Retd) Gandhi Commission absolved him of blame in the Kishtwar violence a few months ago.
Mr Kichloo will retain his previous portfolio of MoS Home.
“My Allah is with me and I have full faith in the Almighty,” he told reporters after the oath-taking ceremony.
He said people of the State are being ‘misled’ by some forces and attempts are being made, especially in the Chenab Valley, to disturb peace.
He, however, termed it as political move by the opponents adding, “my priorities will be to help people and my doors are always open for the common man.”
He said some people tried to dent his image but he came out clear after the report was submitted by the Commission.
The National Conference legislator from Kishtwar assembly constituency had resigned as the minister of State for home from the state cabinet in August this year following the Kishtwar violence.
