KISHTWAR, May 29: Senior National Conference leader and former minister Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo today sought revocation of SRO 103 of 2018, saying reduction of age limit to 32 years for eligibility to J&K Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) will deprive huge lot of aspirants of the State who have been preparing hard for years together to appear in the examinations.
“It is strange to reduce the age limit to 32 years from 37 years for the general category candidates for Combined Competitive Examinations, even as the Union Public Service Commission has been allowing relaxation to candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir in Civil Services Examination”, Kichloo said in a statement.
Kichloo described the SRO as unjust for the aspirants and criticized the PDP-BJP Government for indifferent attitude towards educated youth of the State. He cautioned the Coalition Government against playing with the career of enterprising youth, who have been preparing for examination for several years with full dedication and determination.
He also expressed dismay over non-adherence of the calendar by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission for the conduct of examination. Due to litigation and matters being sub-judice the candidates have been suffering. He said the JKPSC has failed in conducting the Combined Competitive Examination or any other exams because all matters are sub-judice and expressed concern over the entire process.
“The candidates remain the main sufferers and it takes almost three for conducting exams”, he said, adding that the last year’s notification of the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2016 was also sub-judice.
Criticising the Government for adopting anti-youth policies, Kichloo sough revocation of the SRO 103 in the larger interest of aspirants.
