MENDHAR, July 10: A kidnapped girl was recovered by police from Sakhi Maidan area of Mendhar today.
A police spokesman said that minor Kaneez Fatima (name changed) was allegedly kidnapped by a Tata Sumo driver Shahbaz Ahmed, son of Karam Dad on July 8. She was kept in confinement in Sakhi Maidan area. On the complaint of the parents of the girl, a police party from Mendhar conducted raid at a house and recovered the girl. The accused was arrested and placed in the police lock up. A case FIR No. 97/2014 has been registered against him.
