JAMMU, Dec 17: Gandhi Nagar police recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, on November 26, family members of a girl had lodged a complaint with police station Gandhi Nagar stating that their daughter has been kidnapped by Mukesh Rajput, son of Naresh Kumar of Roshanbad, Haridwar, UP.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 273/16 under Section 366 RPC was registered at police station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
On specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar police station conducted raid and recovered the kidnapped girl. The kidnapper tried to escape, but the cops chased and arrested him.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team from Gandhi Nagar police station led by SI Madan Lal and SI Kirti Sharma recovered the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
