Kidnapped girl recovered, accused held

JAMMU, Dec 16: Gujjar Nagar police rescued a kidnapped girl from Srinagar and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, a girl hailing from Gujjar Nagar area went missing on December 4 under mysterious circumstances. The family members of the girl reported the matter to police and a missing complaint was lodged.
During search, it came to fore that the girl was kidnapped by Nisar Ahmed Bhat, son of Abdul Rashid Bhat, a resident of Beerwah, Budgam.
After the inputs, the missing complaint was converted into a kidnapping case and manhunt was launched to trace out the girl and arrest the accused.
On specific inputs, police team conducted raid in Beerwah area of Budgam and rescued the girl. The accused was also arrested.
The girl was handed over to family members after conducting medical examination.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Gujjar Nagar police post SI Rashid Choudhary recovered the girl and arrested the kidnapper under the supervision of SHO Pir Mitha police station Inspector Javed Akhtar, SDPO City Perbeet Singh Parihar, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
