JAMMU, Apr 16: Channi Himmat police recovered a kidnapped minor girl from Amritsar and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, Tilak Raj lodged a complaint with police station Channi that her daughter aged around 16 years has been kidnapped by Arun Singh, son of Kartar Singh of Ramkot, district Kathua.
Acting on the complaint, a case under FIR number 27/15 under Section 363 and 109 RPC was registered at Channi Himmat police station and investigation started.
On specific information, police team conducted a raid and recovered the kidnapped girl from Amritsar and arrested the accused.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge police post Sainik Colony SI Susheel Chowdhary made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Channi Himmat police station Inspector Aejaz Wani, SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
