Kidnapped girl recovered from Uttrakhand

POONCH, Nov 6: A kidnapped girl hailing from Mandi area was recovered by police from Uttrakhand State today.
A police spokesman said that acting on some inputs a police party under the supervision of SP Poonch, was rushed to Rudrapur in Uttrakhand and it managed to recover the girl, namely Parveen Akhtar, daughter of Habib Ullah, resident of Saloonia village in Mandi block. The police arrested the alleged kidnapper, Mohd Salim, son of Khadim Hussain, resident of the same village.
The police said a report was lodged by parents of the girl, on October 10 this year. The police was searching for the girl since then. A special police team constituted by SP Shamsheer Hussain managed to recover the girl. She is being brought to Poonch.
