UDHAMPUR, Dec 15: Police today recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested one person.
Police spokesman said that, family members of a girl lodged a complaint with Police Station Ramnagar alleging that Ashok Kumar, son of Tara Chand of Lahr, Ramnagar, has kidnapped their daughter.
After registering a case under FIR No. 155/12, police party from Ramnagar Police Station conducted raids at many places and finally recovered the kidnapped girl along with accused person from Udhampur, he added.
Girl in her statement alleged that the accused person repeatedly raped her after confining her in a room at Udhampur, spokesman informed.
The girl was handed over to family members after completion of legal formalities and investigation into the case is in progress.
