RAJOURI, Sept 22: The police recovered a kidnapped girl hailing from Nowshera area and arrested a youth in this connection today.
The girl was recovered during raid by Nowshera Police party led by SHO Yashpal Singh from Kangra area of Himachal Pradesh today. 15-year-old girl hailing from Hanjana village had been kidnapped by one Rinku, son of Charan Dass of the same village on March 14, 2011. The girl was appearing in Matric examinations. It was her Hindi paper on the day she was allegedly kidnapped. The girl was taken to Delhi and they remained there in slum area. Then they moved to Kangra area. The girl some how contacted her parents that asked for help and told location. The police party and some family members rushed there and traced the girl.
Rinku was arrested and the girl after medical examination was restored to the family. She narrated that Rinku used to give threats, lock him inside the room and did not allow to talk to any one. After she became pregnant he started threatening that now she will not be able to go back home. She also revealed that she was being tortured and harassed and made to do anything by Rinku and was living in the hell. She also recorded her statement before the Magistrate. A case FIR No 57/2011 already stood registered against him at Nowshera Police Station.
