Kidnapped girl rescued, accused arrested

DODA, Mar 22: Gandoh police rescued a kidnapped girl from District Baramulla and arrested the accused. However, Gandoh police also reunited a missing lady with the family.
As per police sources, a complaint was filed by family members with Police Station Gandoh stating that their daughter went missing since December 11 last year.
Acting over the complaint, a missing report was lodged by Gandoh Police Station and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, it came to fore that the girl has been kidnapped by Mohammad Ashraf, son of Abdul Guffar Khan, a resident of Chandosa Shamlaran, District Baramulla.
Acting on the information, a team from Gandoh Police Station conducted raid in Chandosa Shamlaran area of District Baramulla and rescued the kidnapped girl. the accused tried to escape, but cops arrested him.
The girl has been handed over to family members after completing medical and legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case registered under FIR Number 26/18 under Sections 366 and 109 RPC with Police Station Gandoh is going on.
Meanwhile, a team from Gandoh Police Station also reunited a missing lady with her family after recovering her from District Anantnag.
The lady missing since January 11 this year has been restored to family members after completing legal formalities and the missing report has been closed accordingly.
Police team led by SHO Gandoh Inspector Anayat Hussain worked the kidnapping and missing cases under the supervision of Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
