JAMMU, Jan 14: Domana police rescued a kidnapped minor girl from Muthi area and nabbed the accused.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged yesterday by parents of a girl with police station Domana that their daughter has been kidnapped by Rahul Singh, son of Dhanantar Singh, a resident of Suryawanshi Nagar, Muthi.
Acting over the complaint, a case under Section 363 RPC was registered at Domana police station and manhunt was launched to trace out the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
On specific information, a team from Domana police station conducted raid at Muthi area and rescued the kidnapped girl. The accused tried to escape, but police also nabbed him.
The girl was restored to family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Domana police station Inspector Rajinder Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Surinder Sharma, SP Rural Rajiv Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
