DODA, Apr 25: Gandoh police rescued a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a family with Police Station Gandoh stating that their daughter has been kidnapped by a person identified as Ashok Kumar, son of Kiker Singh, a resident of Manoo Chilly, Tehsil Gandoh, District Doda.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 104/2019 under Sections 363 and 109 IPC was registered at Police Station Gandoh and hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
On specific information, a team from Gandoh Police Station led by SHO Inspector Arun Sharma conducted raid and rescued the kidnapped girl. The accused tried to escape from the spot, but the cops arrested him.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
The arrest was made under the supervision of DySP Gandoh Nawaz Khanday, Additional SP Bhaderwah Raj Singh Goria and SSP Doda Mumtaz Ahmed.
