JAMMU, Jan 30: Nagrota Police rescued a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged at Nagrota Police Station regarding kidnapping of a girl.
Acting over the complaint, a case under relevant Sections was registered at Police Station Nagrota and hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
On specific information, a team from Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Inspector Mohammad Shoket conducted raid and rescued the kidnapped girl. The accused, who tried to escape from the spot, has been arrested. The abductor has been identified as Ayush Anand, son of late Deepak Anand, a resident of Nagrota.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
