Kidnapped girl rescued, accused arrested

DODA, Apr 27: Police rescued a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, on April 18, a complaint was lodged by Anaytullah Shah of Chitran, with police station Doda stating that his daughter has been kidnapped by Akhtar Hussain, son of Mohammad Akber of Krahni, Teh Gundna, District Doda.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 80/17 under Section 366 and 109 RPC was registered at police station Doda and investigation started.
Based on reliable information, a team from Doda police station conducted raid and rescued the girl. The accused tried to escape, but cops also arrested him after a brief chase.
The girl has been restored to family members after completing legal formalities, while further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Doda Inspector Bishnesh Kumar and assisted by SI Ashiq Hussain rescued the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda Iftikar Ahmed and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
