JAMMU, May 8: Gajansoo police rescued a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused from Mishriwala.
As per police sources, family members of a girl lodged a complaint with Police Post Gajansoo stating that Manesh Sharma, a resident of Nai Basti Gajansoo had kidnapped their daughter during the intervening night of May 7 and 8.
Acting swiftly, a team from Gajansoo Police Post raised check points in various areas and finally rescued the kidnapped girl from Mishriwala.
On seeing police cops, the accused tried to escape, but the cops nabbed him after a brief chase.
The girl has been restored to family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case registered under Section 363 RPC with Kanachack Police Station is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Gajansoo Police Post SI Ashok Bazaz rescued the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SDPO Domana Virender Singh and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
