RAJOURI, Sept 14: The police today arrested a youth for allegedly kidnapping a minor girl from a village in Rajouri district.
A police official said that a villager from Kharak in Kalakote lodged a missing report of her daughter on September 7, alleging that his minor daughter was mysterious missing . During initial investigation it came to fore that she has been kidnapped by a youth from Jamola in Rajouri.
The police received some vital clues about the whereabouts of the girl and the youth. On the directions of SHO Kalakote Insp Mustaj Hussain under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera, Khaliq Hussain, a team from Kalakote police station raided a suspected location at Chassana in Reasi and recovered the girl.
The kidnapper, Kapil Dev, son of Bal Krishan Sharma, resident of Jamola in Rajouri has been arrested. He was living in a rented accommodation in Jawahar Nagar, Rajouri. The police has registered a case FIR No 76/2018 U/S 363 RPC.
