Kidnapped girl reunited with family

JAMMU, May 23: A kidnapped girl was reunited with her family here today, officials said.
They said a written complaint was lodged at Police Post Chattha by the mother of the victim girl, stating therein that her daughter got kidnapped by some persons.
Accordingly, a case FIR number 43/2023 under sections 366 IPC was registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation taken up, officials said.
Followed by this, they said, special teams of Police Station Satwari led by SDPO South Sachit Sharma assisted by SHO Satwari, Sumeet Sharma and incharge Police Post Chattha PSI Harjinder Singh and SI Manzoor Hussain recovered the kidnapped girl from the possession of one Ajit Singh of Bathindi, Jammu, using human as well as technical intelligence.
While the accused has been arrested, the kidnapped girl has been handed over to her family members after completing the medico-legal formalities, added the officials.
