JAMMU, Aug 24: Police today recovered a lady from Tangmarg, District Baramulla, who was kidnapped from Danmasta area of District Ramban two weeks ago.
Police spokesman said that, on August 14, a complaint was submitted at Police Station Ramsoo that lady namely Mansha Devi (name changed) of Danmasta, tehsil Banihal was kidnapped by one Imtyaz Ahmed Wani, son of Mohd Amin of Allanbass, tehsil Banihal, district Ramban on August 11.
On the complaint, a case under FIR number 51/2012 under Sections 366/376 RPC was registered at Police Station Ramsoo and investigation started, he added.
Police swung into action and recovered the kidnapped lady along with accused Imtyaz Ahmed Wani from Tangmarg, district Baramulla, he said.
Both kidnapped lady and the accused were brought back to Police Station Ramsoo. Investigation into the case is in progress, spokesman added.
