MENDHAR, Nov 28: The district police Poonch has arrested a person accused of kidnapping a young woman from Mendhar area and recovered her from Lakhimpur in Uttar Pradesh.
Official sources said that report in this connection was lodged in Police Station Gursai on November 21 by parents and a case of kidnapping under relevant sections of law was registered.
After registration of case, special teams were constituted and after hectic efforts the police recovered the lady from village Imiliya in Tehsil Gola, of district Lakhimpur in UP.
After completion of legal formalities lady was handed to legal heirs.
In this connection a case FIR No. 139/2022 was registered against kidnapper namely Ayaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Hamid, resident of Chajjla, Tehsil Mendhar district Poonch who has also been arrested.
