JAMMU, Nov 12: Arnia Police has rescued a minor girl kidnapped by a person from the jurisdiction of Police Station Arnia.
A Police spokesman said that acting on a complaint submitted to it on October 15 by legal heirs of a minor girl regarding kidnapped of their minor daughter, a case FIR Number 96/2022 u/s 363/109 IPC was registered at Police Station Arnia and investigation started.
“After this special police teams of Police Station Arnia under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh were constituted. The team led by SHO Arnia Inspector Deepak Katoch did strenuous efforts and finally traced the missing girl from Kotla Mubarakpur in Delhi,” he added.
“The accused namely Prikshit Sharma son of Ashok Kumar, resident of Rajpura Camp (Kanachak, Jammu) was arrested and the girl was recovered from his custody,” the spokesman said, adding, the girl was handed over to her family members after completing all the legal formalities.
Further investigation of the case is going on, he further added.
