JAMMU, July 13: Kanachack Police rescued a kidnapped minor girl and arrested the abductor.
As per police sources, on July 9 this year, a complaint was lodged by a man hailing from Chattisgarh, at present Kangrail with Police Station Kanachack stating that his minor daughter went missing.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 102/2021 under Section 363 IPC was registered at Police Station Kanachack and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Kanachack led by PSI Ajesh Jamwal after hectic efforts recovered the minor girl from Nagrota area and arrested the abductor, who was identified as Surendra Kumar, son of Chhat Ram of Chattisgarh.
After completing the legal formalities, the minor girl was handed over to legal heirs.
The recovery and arrest of the accused took place under the guidance of SHO Kanachack Vishav Partap Singh, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
