RAMBAN, June 15: Batote Police rescued a kidnapped minor girl from Punjab and arrested the abductor.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Batote by a person on June 12 this year stating that her minor daughter has been kidnapped by a person namely Taronjot Singh, son of Inderpal Singh of Baggu Nalah when she had gone to attend tuition classes.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 132/2022 under Sections 363 and 109 IPC was registered at Police Station Batote and a special team was constituted to recover the minor girl from the clutches of accused person.
After hectic efforts done, a police team finally recovered the minor girl from Punjab with the active assistance of cyber team of Ramban Police.
The accused was arrested and is currently in police custody.
The minor girl was handed over to her parents after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by PSI Gautam Chaudhary recovered the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SHO Batote Inspector Rakesh Jamwal, DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen and SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
