JAMMU, Apr 12: Domana police rescued a kidnapped minor girl and arrested the accused within couple of hours.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a family with Police Station Domana today evening stating that their minor daughter has been kidnapped by Jawahar Pandita, son of Somnath Pandita, a resident of Jagti, Nagrota.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 121/18 under Section 363 RPC was registered at Domana Police Station and hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
During investigation, several teams from Domana Police Station conducted raids in various areas and rescued the kidnapped minor girl. The kidnapper tried to escape from the spot, but the cops arrested him after a brief chase.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Domana Inspector Sumeet Sharma rescued the kidnapped minor girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sandeep Gupta, SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
