KISHTWAR, Jan 12: Police rescued a kidnapped minor girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, on December 15 last year, a complaint was received at Police Station from a man stating that her minor daughter has been kidnapped by Imtiyaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Gani Shah, a resident of Patimhal Palmar and others.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 312/18 under section 363 RPC was registered at Kishtwar Police Station and hunt was launched to rescue the girl and arrest the accused.
During the course of investigation, special teams were constituted by DySP Headquarters Kishtwar on directions of SSP Kishtwar Rajinder Gupta for rescuing kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
A police team led by SHO Kishtwar Inspector Farooq Khateeb conducted series of raids in Palmer, Dedpath and Kishtwar town and finally rescued the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
