JAMMU, Oct 11: Akhnoor police rescued a kidnapped minor girl and arrested the accused.
As per official spokesman, yesterday a complaint was lodged by a lady with Police Station Akhnoor stating that on October 9 this year, her minor daughter went to market for purchasing some household items but did not turn back home.
“It came to notice from locals that a person identified as Sunny Sharma, son of Kaku Ram Sharma of Bandra-da-Bagh, Karangi was seen with her”, the lady stated in her complaint.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 174/2020 under Section 363 IPC was registered at Akhnoor Police Station and investigation started.
A special team was constituted under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar for the search of kidnapped girl.
After hectic efforts, police team rescued the kidnapped girl and arrested the abductor Sunny Sharma.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
