JAMMU, Mar 17: Police in Channi Himmat area here claimed they have traced and reunited a minor girl with her family.
A police spokesperson said on March 16, a missing report of a minor girl (name withheld) was reported in Police Station Channi Himmat.
He said accordingly a case FIR number 34/2024 was registered and investigation started.
Followed by this, the police spokesperson said, a police team got to know that the minor girl was kidnapped by one Prince Koushal (24) of Togan Tehsil Kharar, District Mohali, Punjab, from her residence on March 16.
Later, a team of Police Station Channi Himmat reached Mohali and recovered the minor girl from the clutches of the kidnapper within 24 hours, he said.
While the minor girl has been reunited with the family after completing all the legal formalities, the accused stands arrested.
