Kidnapped minor recovered from Himachal Pradesh, accused arrested

JAMMU, May 7: Police recovered a kidnapped minor girl from Himachal Pradesh and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, Mohinder Singh lodged a compliant with police station Bahu Fort that his sister-in-law’s daughter aged around 17 years residing in village Jole, tehsil Kangra, Himachal Pradesh has been kidnapped from Narwal area by Banti Din, son of Latta Din of Bhali, tehsil Javali, district Kangra, Himachal Pradesh on May 5, 2015.
Acting on the complaint, a case under FIR number 108/15 under Section 363 RPC was registered at police station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
On specific information, police team from Narwal police post conducted a raid in Himachal Pradesh and recovered the kidnapped girl. The accused was also arrested on the spot.
The police team brought both girl and her kidnapper to Jammu. After completing legal and medical formalities, the girl was restored to family members.
Police team led by Incharge, police post Narwal, PSI Vishal Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort police station Inspector Naveen Angral, SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
