RAMBAN, Mar 17: Patnitop Police rescued a kidnapped minor girl and arrested the abductor.
As per police sources, on March 3 this year a complaint was lodged by a man with Police Post Patnitop stating that his 17-year-old daughter went to school and did not returned back home.
As the girl was minor, a case under Section 363 (kidnapping) was registered at Police Station Batote and hunt was launched to trace out the girl.
To recover the girl, a special police team from Police Post Patnitop was constituted. After putting in strenuous efforts, the police party was able to get a clue about the whereabouts of the kidnapped girl. The police party immediately rushed to the spot and finally recovered the kidnapped girl who was allegedly missing. Police team also arrested the abductor, who was identified as Ranjeet Singh, son of Balwant Singh, a resident of Nagrota District Jammu.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Patnitop PSI Vinod Saini recovered the kidnapped girl and arrested the abductor under the supervision of SHO Batote Inspector Sudhir Sadotra, DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen and SP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
