JAMMU, Nov 4: Kanachack police arrested a kidnapper, who was evading his arrest for the past two months.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Kanachack police station arrested a person, who had kidnapped a minor girl few months back.
The accused has been identified as Ashok Kumar alias Sonu Punjabi (27), son of Faqir Chand, a resident of district Gurdaspur, Punjab.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 105/15 under Section 363 RPC with Kanachack police station.
The minor girl, whom he had kidnapped, was recovered earlier, but the accused was at large and today landed in police net.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Kanachack Rakesh Jamwal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Surinder Sharma, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
