JAMMU, June 19: A kidnapping accused who escaped from custody has been arrested by Bakshi Nagar Police.
As per police sources, on June 15 this year, a kidnapper identified as Mukul Kalotra, son of Bharat Bhushan, a resident of Mazdoor Basti Reshamgarh Colony District Jammu was arrested by Police Station Bakshi Nagar in a case registered under FIR Number 89/2021 under Sections 363 IPC.
When the team of Police Station Bakshi Nagar brought him back after revisit of scene of crime, the said accused get down from the Government vehicle (flying) and escaped from the custody of police party.
On specific information, a team from Police Station Bakshi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Ravi Kant conducted raids at different places in district Jammu and outside the district and finally arrested the accused from Bus Stand of District Rajouri.
It is pertinent to mention here that, SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli had suspended four cops for dereliction of duties.
Further investigation into the case registered against the accused is going on.
The whole operation was supervised by SDPO West Rahul Nagar and SP City North Mohita Sharma.
