Killing of Army personnel

Sir,
The killing of four army personnel in an encounter in Tral area of South Kashmir underlines the fact that Pak based militants are still active in the State. Though it is claimed that militancy is on the wave in the State, it is also true that militant camps are still intact in Pakistan, and have not been dismantled by the militant organisation active there.
The killing of Army jawans should now silence those who have been advocating for scrapping of AFSPA from the State. Once the situation reverts to pre-militancy days in the Valley when people had no knowledge of guns  and grenades, the  Army will on its own press for its repeal.
Otherwise, repealing the Act at this time will prove disastrous for the security of the nation. Besides, militants will get encouraged, and they will indulge in anti-national activities without any fear of law enforcing agencies.
Meanwhile, it is urged that  the forces maintain pressure on militants despite killing of brave jawans.
Yours etc…
