Killing of BSF jawan took place when Modi-Nawaz meeting got confirmed: Omar

SRINAGAR:Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah has questioned the timing of killing of a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan on the Line of Control (LoC) after Pakistan violated ceasefire in Nowgam sector.
However, former Union minister Arun Shourie in a tweet alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not care about soldiers.
The working president of the main opposition National Conference (NC) in Jammu and Kashmir, where PDP and BJP coalition is in power, said, “At the exact same time the confirmation of Modi meeting Sharif comes. Talk about terrible timing. RIP brave solider.”
He was responding to reports about the death of a BSF jawan in Pak firing at Nowgam.
Mr Shourie said, “Modiji doesn’t care about soldiers, he cares about his photo ops.”  (AGENCIES)
