NEW DELHI, Oct 14:
Ahead of their meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi this evening, family members of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose expressed the hope that the Centre would soon declassify all the files on the great revolutionary.
Talking to UNI, Maduri Bose, grand niece of Netaji, said,”We have all gathered here only with one-point agenda, one demand that all the files on Netaji be declassified as soon as possible.” Thanking the West Bengal government for the recent declassification of 64 files on Netaji, she said more could be said about them only after after proper scrutiny.
One of the family members, Abhijeet Ray, also demanded that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) be constituted in this matter. ”We would request the Prime Minister to constitute an SIT in this matter, preferably with Supreme Court judges as its members,” he said.
Over the issue of effect of declassification on relations with other countries, Mr Ray said,”The declassification with not affect India’s relations with any other country. ”It is all rubbish.” A delegation, comprising 35 family members of Netaji, including 10 activists, representing the cause, would meet the Prime Minister later today.
